This is my layout for the cyber crop challenge #6 at Ready, Set, Scrap. Called Cheesecake - made by Nat.

Cheesecake – Made By Nat

You can never get enough cheesecake,

can't stop till your plate is licked clean

so... lets scrap with that in mind.

I want to see everyone have a go at 'gorging' themselves on some yummy cheesecake!

I decided to tackle this challenge in a different way, by doing a collage of my positive attributes. I also love the color blue so I thought as this is all about me I would use my favourite color - This is my "Blue heaven Cheesecake". Would you like a slice of Caring, Sharing or Compassionate? or maybe Loyal and Hardworking?

I loved putting this together, using all the different shades of blue. Thanks Nat, I really enjoyed this one!

Snug as a Bengal in a Rug

This is my take on the cybercrop challenge #9 set by Tracey, on the Ready, Set, Scrap site.

Caffe Latte – Made By Tracey

I love a good Latte.

Did you know that the translation for Caffe Latte is

Coffee with milk!

So I want to see lots of milky WHITE & dreamy, creamy LATTE and CREAM colours. And just because it's the way I like my Latte, just a shake of CHOCOLATE somewhere as well.

Your creation can be in the form of a layout, digi, OTP, card or altered item.

This is Kimba my Snow Bengal (the Bengal breed was created in the 1950's by mixing a domestic cat with an Asian Mountain Leopard). The Snow variety of the Bengal comes by mixing the standard Bengals with Siamese cats for their lighter color.

He is Astro's little brother!

This was the purrrfect photo for this layout using the softer cream and lighter brown colors. I am very pleased how this layout turned out. Thanks Tracey for all your inspiration for this challenge.

What a Couple! - Day of the Dead

This is a pic of me standing out the front of the "Day of the Dead" shop, with my friend in Mexico in 2006. LOL

My hand made embellishment = the felt distressed skull with stitched mouth!
Chipboard = "What a couple sign"
Flowers = cluster in LH corner
Felt = pink felt flowers
Ink = edging of 12x12 cardstock and journaling.
New product = skull foamies
Stamping = asstd skulls and cross

Raspberry Trifle Crush

This is my take on the cyber crop challenge #1 set by Ann-Marie at Ready, Set, Scrap.

Mud Cake – Made by Ann-Marie

For Ann-Marie's Challenge she would like everyone to create a

Recipe Card

You can go with any size format that suits you, Ann-Marie has gone with a roughly 8x5" size.

On your recipe card you need to have the following items,

ribbon, a staple, some buttons and a cut out item (eg. doiley or pattern from a paper)

Ladies! Here is a 3 ingredient trifle .... You gotta love that! So eeasy peeasy!

I have used all the elements on this challenge:
staple, some buttons, ribbon around the picture and cut out white printed cellaphane paper.

I loved the raspberry color combination I used. Hmmmm maybe I'll make up cards for the rest of my recipies :) Thanks Ann-Marie this was a great idea and I enjoyed putting it together.

Skool Daze

This is my entry for the cybercrop challenge #7 at RSS.

Cup Cakes – Made By Rach

For Rachel's Challenge you need to use these yummy flavours. Oops I mean colours!

Use the colours

-vanilla/cream

-strawberry

-chocolate

You also need to add the following cup cake decorations:

-paint = icing

-bling = sprinkles

Here is Rach's Example:

This is my layout below.

I used the colors vanilla/cream, strawberry and chocolate.

The chipboard elements are painted with Americana paint - Gooseberry pink. I sealed the chipboard with Jo Sonja's All purpose sealer and added "Ice stickles" glitter glue, crystal ice (for added sprinkles).

I "blinged up" the painted chipboard.

My daughter was quite pleased with the finished layout and I really enjoyed this project. Thanks Rach.

A Moment in Time

This is my entry for the cyber-crop challenge # 3 called Cappuccino by Kath.

For Kath's challenge you must use a Cappuccino as your inspiration for the colors and also include handcutting, stitching & lace.

Here Is Kath's Example:

This is my entry for Kath's challenge.

A Moment in Time, the hands on the clock face say "Lasting Friendship".

I used the colors of a cappuchino as my inspiration, I hand cut the flower border, used stitching in the corners and bordered half the pic with cream lace trimmed with tan edging.

Loved using these colors Kath they really blend well together, thanks for your inspiration!

This is my take on Shell's challenge #8 - "Hot Chocolate".

I have used Brown and Lime Green as my main colors, 5 x buttons (in the tree), 1 x flower and stitching (zig zag) across the ribbon.

This is what the journaling says: We went to a restaurant for lunch after touring "Chichen Itza" all morning. The buffet style food was so yummy! There were so many exotic dishes to choose from. The best part was being served by the waitresses, who brought your drinks to the table on trays balanced on their heads. It was so hot that day all you wanted to do was drink.

A Beautiful Day Dressed in Blue.

Ready Set, Scrap had there March cyber-crop on Friday night. The theme was "coffee and cake". It was a lot of fun, about 20 ladies participated. We played Pink Flamingo and the Design Team handed out random points through out the evening. We played some games such as word scramble, treasure hunt and What the? Points are tallied throughout the night and also updated over the next couple of days At the end of the night the Design Team posted nine scrapbooking challenges which you have to have finished ( three is the minimum requirement) and uploaded by the following Wednesday night.

Pssst wanna hear a secret.

This is my take on Erika Martins journaling 101 course for Week # 4 - Reflective journaling. If you would like to view Erikas site you can from here.

This is an old photo I found when I was 17. I remember that jacket was a moss a dark green color, iIgot it from a second hand shop and just loved it. My mum hated it and told me it looked like carpet!

This is what the journaling says:

Not many people know this story, I am sharing and revealing a little of myself with all of you……..

It was about 4:30pm on a beautiful summer’s afternoon. Jan and I sat on the corner bluestone fence, having a smoke and a chat, watching the traffic speed by and sharing a joke or two. We were both seventeen and went to the same high school. We really didn’t have a care in the world. Except for boys! We really cared about boys!

Suddenly we both heard a rustle in the bushes surrounding the white weatherboard two storey home and turned at the same time to see what it was. A cream Labrador dog burst out and came rushing towards us. He was whimpering and howling and pawing at us. I thought he may be he hurt, but he looked ok. I patted him on the head but he kept whimpering and howling.

Jan had always been scared of dogs, (I think one bailed her up when she was young and bit her). So, we got up, butted out our smokes and started heading to Jan’s house, which was up the hill from the weatherboard house.

Old Bob lived in the house, he had lost his wife many years ago (I think she died of cancer). You only saw Bob very occasionally, usually when he was out the front of his house raking leaves, watering his plants or mowing. Bob was a harmless cranky old man. He lived across the road from a primary school and I think the kids used to tease him, so he preferred to stay indoors. His daughters would fetch his shopping, clean the house and take him on outings.

Once back at Jan’s house which was about 12 houses up the hill from Bob’s we sat down and watched some TV. I was asked to stay for dinner, so I rang home to get permission and organised to get picked up later.

Later on, Jan and I were doing the dishes, sharing a few laughs with her older brother. Her dad came in from the lounge room exclaiming that the police were on the doorstep looking for us. We exchanged blank glances and headed for the lounge room. Three plain clothed policemen introduced themselves and told us they were from Heidelberg CIB (Crime Investigation Bureau). They asked both of us our whereabouts that afternoon. We told them about the smoking on the fence, the dog, walking home and watching TV.

At this stage my mind was racing trying to think of things I had done recently which would explain the questions from the crime police. I don’t think they were there for not handing in your homework late or pinching a few dollars out of my mum’s purse to buy smokes. I was worried and intrigued.

The police told us that Bob had been bludgeoned to death that afternoon around 4:30pm. Someone had seen Jan and I sitting on the fence…talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

I think at this stage I had burst into tears. Poor old Bob.
