Missing Hasan at Christmas time....

It's been a very sad time leading up to Christmas and not having Hasan enjoying the Festive Season with me this year...... He loved celebrating Christmas with my family and loved opening his presents from under our christmas tree (he always wanted to open them early! :)

Here are some photos taken of Hasan on Christmas Day 2012 at my brothers (Craigs) home, where we had our hot christmas lunch :) Always a lovely day spent with your loved ones....

Miss you Hasan....

REFLECTIONS at the HUT!

Hi Ladies!!

This months challenge at the scrapbooking Hut is hosted by the lovely Nicole Knopke! Her challenge is to use something reflective on your layout!!

Here is her example page where she cut up a CD and gessoed (is that a word!) it to her page. It just looks fabulous!!

Yep...that's her...pink hair and pink tutu!!
The border around the photo is the CD that she cut up and attached to her layout with gesso.

and here is my take on her challenge called

'Rainy Day Reflections'
I used a reflective photo and also the back of some bling drops that were reflective

Dream Catcher fun at 'The Scrapbooking Hut'

.
Hi Ladies!

Come join in the fun at 'The Scrapbooking Hut' this Oct/Nov.

Welcome to the first challenge from our all new Design Team....and yes! .....I have the privilege of being the first hostess!
Woohoo!!! :)
My challenge is to add a Dream Catcher to your page....
it can big or small. You can make it from anything you like.

Dreamcatchers are getting more and more popular in the scrapbooking world, Glitz Design already incorporated them in their new Wild & Free collection. So - why not create your own one?!
Dreamcatchers are ment to change a person´s dreams, to keep the bad dreams away and let the positive ones come through.
I do not only love the meaning of dreamcatchers, but also the way they look. I love the feathers and leaves hanging down.

This is a page I did recently with a small dream catcher attached to the left hand side of the page. Made from metal, chain and skeleton leaves.
DREAM

Here is my example page
'GO'

and a close up!

The Creative Team have done a wonderful job of the challenge, so if you would like to join in and get some fabulous inspiration...the challenge can be found here.

Come and have some fun!

Cheers

ARCHI- SCRAPS challenge JULY

Hi Ladies!

This month at ARCHI-scraps challenges, we are taking our inspiration from
a unique structure from Cambodia.

Well, here is something completely different.
This spiral building is in Cambodia .

and

the added criteria is to use a pin!

I just couldn't resist doing this page, as this is the first thing that popped into my head
when considering how I would tackle this challenge!!

Yes!! you guessed!!!
Madonna's iconic CONE BRASSIERE
(The photo is a bit dull as Melbourne weather is overcast atm)

GET THE POINT!

and a close up!

I have added an ADORE pin in the beautiful velvet flower made by Debi Clark
(From a flower swap at Soul Scrappers last month)

Journaling says........

During her Blonde Ambition tour (June 25, 1990), Madonna revealed some of the most ambitious outfits of her career.   This show-stopping pink cone bra ensemble, designed by her frequent fashion collaborator Jean-Paul Gaultier, remains one                        of her most infamous looks.

Madonna's iconic cone brassiere, worn by the pop diva during her 1990 Blond Ambition tour, sold for $52,000 at the Christie's Pop Culture auction in London on Thursday (Nov. 29). The green and pink silk costume, which redefined the female silhouette and moved many designers to add some edge to their undergarments, was created by Jean-Paul Gaultier.
The French designer has since revisited the cone bra and transformed the iconic lingerie for Madonna's MDNA world tour, emphasizing the architecture of the corset and playing with the contrast of masculinity and femininity. Another item of interest to Madonna fans at the auction was a black Lycra two-piece labeled "Trashy" that Madonna wore to perform "Vogue." It fetched just shy of $26,000.

and 'leaves' to the embellie leaves.

I also added a quote down the bottom of the page...

seeking the successive autumns."

ARCHI-SCRAPS April Challenge

This month at Archi-scraps the inspirational pic is......

...this Gothic looking church, so the idea is to scrap something like haunted castles, halloween, spooky things like bats, spiders, mummies, the Addams Family or the Munsters.

and the extra criteria is chipboard.

This is a page I did last year for a submission at FS2S but I have never entered it into a challenge until now!

I rusted up some chipboard gates by adding copper paint randomly to them. I added some black Briar roses around the gates to make the entrance look even spookier!!!!  The sign hanging from the gate says...0001 Cemetary Lane (The Addams Family address) I also added a spider, bats and a purple/blue cross (amongst the black roses), and some spider web just finished it off.

Here is a close up view of the gates....

You can get to Archi-scraps here.

Julene and the Design Team girls would love to see you join in!
