Archi-scraps - Bond

Hi Ladies!

This month at Archi-scraps the inspiration comes from this very unusual 'Bling' building.

.....and ofcourse the challenge this month is TO USE BLING.
This can be rhinestones, glitter, pearls or anything sparkly.

I took my inspiration from the bling building reaching up to the sky and followed through with silver stars
reaching up into the sky on my page.

Journaling says.....Hasan gave me the greatest bit of advice anyone could give another person...'Believe in Yourself'

Archi-scraps - Remember this Moment

Hi Ladies!

This months challenge at Archi-scraps is based on the photo below

The theme for this month's challenge is TRANSPORT.

Here is my interpretation of the criteria.....

I took my inspiration from the metal roof of the car house and used photos of my mum and her metal peddle car.

This is my mum 'Melvie' when she was about three in her peddle car. Her aunty Effie, her mum and her dad look on....photos taken some 70 years ago.....

Thanks Julene and team for your inspiration!

Pixels and Paper - Memories

Hi Ladies!

This month at Pixels and Paper challenge blog the inspiration comes from the clock 'Big Ben'.

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, and often extended to refer to the clock and the clock tower although the tower is now officially known as the Elizabeth Tower (formerly the Clock Tower). The tower holds the second largest four-faced chiming clock in the world. The tower was completed in 1858 and had its 150th anniversary on 31 May, 2009.

So I took the opportunity to finish off decorating my 'Memories' clock which was an off the page class at 'A Scrappe Tiger Retreat' back in November 2013. The original childrens clock was bright yellow so after sponging and misting we got a great mottled coverage. We had to pull the whole clock apart and put it back together to be able to decorate and paint it!

My inspiration came from the clock face which I have embellished and added a memory photo, my favourite photo of  Hasan and I, and I now keep it on Hasans heart table in my bedroom......

and some side views.....

Thanks for the inspiration to get my 'Memory' clock finished......
I just Love it!!

This is my niece Megan and her friend high up in a tree!

ARTastic - Sweet

Hi Ladies!

This month  ARTastic is featuring  this delightful work by Roy de Maistre called Frozen Music.

The Criteria is to use Swirls on your entry :)

For my example titled 'SWEET', I used the swirls and the yellow/gold colors.
This page was a UFO (unfinished Object), it was a workshop at 'A Scrappe Tiger Retreat' last year that I never completed. I had completed the background and stencilled wings (modelling paste and gold paint) but I had not embellished or added a photo!

I added small clear flourish swirls and painted each little stone black to fit with my black and white photo, I love the Swirl in the title and how the wings fan out like swirly waves.

Here is a close up
This is my mum as a little girl.

Thanks for a wonderful challenge ARTastic, so glad I got a chance to get this piece finished.

There is still plenty of time to join in the challenge this month!
Jane and the Creative team would love to see your entry!

Cheers

ARTastic - My Super Hero!

Hi Ladies!

Here is my entry for the latest challenge at ARTastic this month.

The Inspiration comes from this pic by Fintan Magee.

I had good intentions getting this page done early but we had a few dramas with the photo shoot. LOL
Duke (our Chihauhau), would not put his paws into the leg openings of his Superman suit because his nails were too long and needed a trim!! So I had to wait til Jenna my daughter had a day off work to take Duke to the Groomers, as he gets quite nasty and needs to be muzzled!! Anyway he had his nails clipped but needed a bath before the photos as his eyes were puffy and runny and he looked dreadful. So after the bath he co operated and I was able to get quite a few photos... once he had his suit on he ran around as he knew he was getting all the attention!! Boy! It was like getting a model pampered for a runway shoot!!

Here he is.... 'My Super Hero'

Doesn't he look cute!!!

I took my inspiration from the 4 batman kids, so I added 4 small photos and a super hero costume ofcourse!!

Here is a close up of Super Duke!!

Even with all the dramas, it was worth getting these cute photos

Thanks for the challenge Jane and Artastic CT girls!

Cheers
