A little about Carla Blackman
Carla Blackman, originally from Warwick in England,
has travelled the world extensively, but is now a permanent resident of Far
North Queensland, where she has made her home.
Based on the Cairns Northern Beaches, she has been
greatly influenced by the vibrant colours of tropical reef fish, which she
captures brilliantly on her silk originals.
Carla enjoys painting on silk as a medium since it
is well suited to creative expression with bright colours. The vibrancy of the
finished artwork is an appropriate reflection of her tropical environment.
Carla has work in private and corporate collections
throughout the world. Her beautiful silk originals make an outstanding
statement and add a touch of the tropics to any room.
