Soul Scrappers

The Soul Team is looking for a few new members to join us on our Design Team here at Soul Scrappers!

Would you like to join our team? Here's what you need to do to apply for a spot on the team:

1: Complete any 3 of the challenges that are currently running and send us a link to your pages once you uploaded them to the site.

2: In 150 words or less, tell us why you want to be on the team!

3: What's your name, address, phone number and email? Do you also have a blog or website? (a blog or website is NOT required to be on the team)

4: Please send all this information to Erika Martin at erikaerin2001@yahoo.com

5: All applications to be on the Soul Team must be received by Erika Martin by July 31, 2010.


The Soul Team is a great group of ladies that helps to keep the site running with their challenges, encouraging other members in their scrapbooking, commenting on pages in the gallery (especially in their challenges), being active on the site and starting in September, will be a part of a special project that is being added to the site. First Love

I ne'er was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet,
Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower
And stole my heart away complete.
My face turned pale as deadly pale.
My legs refused to walk away,
And when she looked, what could I ail?
My life and all seemed turned to clay.
And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight quite away,
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight at noonday.
I could not see a single thing,
Words from my eyes did start --
They spoke as chords do from the string,
And blood burnt round my heart.
Are flowers the winter's choice?
Is love's bed always snow?
She seemed to hear my silent voice,
Not love's appeals to know.
I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before.
My heart has left its dwelling-place
And can return no more

Here is my submission called 'Feathers will Fly!!'

I have all the criteria, cards, feathers and brown tones. I hand made the Dalia flower on the left, the other flowers were a gift from Taryn Stark....and an adorable photo of my son 'Adam' when he was 5 (This is one of my favourite photos of him when he was little kid) The animal farm came to his school (back in 1990 when he was in Prep) and Adam was determined to have his photo taken with this huge chook........so, after much chasing and scrabbling he caught her, he was so pleased with himself. Journaling says: 'Put me down or feathers will fly!!'...(from the chooks point of view) lol TFL - Shazza

** (like a printers block and similar to the title on the 'Sherlock Holmes' poster)

Easy criteria for this month......metal/shades of green or teal and title in a rectangle :)

Here is my submission called.....

YUM

Found it hard to find teal so went with a lot of green :)...and a touch of teal.
I have used a metal tag plate which is covering the word 'Bloom' and have added my title word 'Yum' to a green rectangle. The leaves were cut from felt and embroidered the leaf veins. This is Tash my neice, this is what the journaling says: Here is Tash eating her cup cake! Do you love cup cakes I asked? YUM! replied Tash. TFL - Shazza
