Chunky Shazza!

Here is my first layout for 'Getting our Bodies Back. It's a great group to join to document your weight loss and has been organised by Karen Findlay. You can get to Karens weight loss challenge here.

Journaling says.....

6 months down the track, I would like to achieve the

following by staying in control of my health by…..walking at

least an hour every day, cooking more healthy meals, and

trying to beat my diabetes. Ideally I would like to be under

75 kilos.

Over the next month I want to start walking more, and to

stop sneaking and hiding all the bad sugary food snacks

like biscuits and cakes. Start keeping my meal sizes

reasonable and eat more wholegrain, fruit, legumes and

dairy products.

I like my eyes

I like my freckly skin

I like my neck and shoulders

I like my will power

I like my dry wit

Hi Ladies!

Today I managed to make a few cards and tags for some challenges at Dixie Pieces.

Good Luck Card

The first is a 'Good Luck' card I made for Kims challenge. All you had to do was create a "Good Luck" card that includes the color green!

Here's mine.....

Beaded Tag Card

The next is a card tag I made for Kims Greenhorne challenge. You had to use a tool or technique that you have been wanting to try for the first time? Something that you are intimidated by maybe? Your challenge today is to create a layout using some tool or technique that is new to you, something that you are "Green" at.....

Here's my beaded Tag Card...

you can give the card and add the tag to the gift or you can wrap in cello and give them together as a gift for that person to use for their own gift giving!
I have used bugle beads across the hills and added seed beads for the falling snow!

 Mother's Day Card

I made this Mothers Day card for my Mother-in-Law. I put the card quickly together as I know as it approaches Mothers Day I want be able to make one as I have just lost my own Mother only two weeks ago :(
This is for Heathers challenge....
Heathers challenge is to "go green" with your scrapbook supplies.  Heathers challenge is to really "go green" and create a project (card, layout, or altered item) by recycling and reusing the packaging from your scrapbook supplies.

Here is the packaging I used...

and here is the card I put together.....

This is my take on Scrap that Poetry challenge # 36. I did this page over a week ago, so thought I better get it uploaded to be intime for the challenge......The poem used was March by Lucy Larcom. you can get to STP from .here.

March
by Lucy Larcom

"March! March! March! They are coming
In troops to the tune of the wind.
Redheaded woodpeckers drumming,
Gold - crested thrushes behind;
Sparrows in brown jackets, hopping
Past every gateway and door;
Finches, with crimson caps, stopping
Just where they stopped before.
March! March! March! They are slipping
Into their places at last. . .
Literature white lily buds, dripping
Under the showers that fall fast;
Buttercups, violets, roses;
Snowdrop and bluebell and pink,
Throng upon throng of sweet posies
Bending the dewdrops to drink.
March! March! March! They will hurry
Forth at the wild bugle sound,
Blossoms and birds in a flurry,
Fluttering all over the ground.
Shake out your flags, birch and willow!
Shake out your red tassels, larch!
Grass blades, up from your earth - pillow.
Hear who is calling you. . . March."

Here is my entry called March! March! March! .....

When I read the poem, I immediately thought of penguins Marching down to the beach....Putting on a bit of a show or parade for everyone...
