For this month's E&I challenge Tracey would like you to create an item using the following dominant colours

Ivory (white)

BLACK AND ORANGE

include
1 photo only
buttons and flowers

Here's Tracey's example:

*****************************************

And here is my entry:

My Cat Kimba is very much like me... he is definately not a morning Person/Kitty. It takes him a while to get going and is 'out of sorts' if I don't follow his morning routine. I suppose that's what you get for owning a "Snow Bengal"......

I followed all criteria for this challenge:
Ivory/White with black and orange. Aminal related, one photo and buttons and flowers. I used some kitten faced buttons, I brought a few years ago :)

For the month of May....

I travelled to....the Austin Hospital each day to visit my mum

My child/children surprised me with this... gift of a mouse pad for my computer with a pic of me and my DD on it.... I love it!

We celebrated this...Mothers Day

My favourite outing was to... the fire station cafe for a lovely sunday lunch

As a family we did this... watched Twighlight the movie

My scrapbooking achievement this month was... won the May cyber crop at RSS.

The best thing that happened this month was... my mother got well enough to come home from hospital

My favourite food at the moment is... chicken green curry with vegetables and rice

Right now I am obsessed with... anything BasicGrey especially the collection packs

My favourite store right now is... flutterbuys and my favoutite online store is my2angels (just check out my blog if you don't believe me - shazzacraft.blogspot.com)

No doubt you are all wondering just what you are required to do...

It's simple...only 4 stimpulations Smile

* It can be either a Double or Single Layout (the choice is yours) and include 3 or more pictures of your choice that highlight the answers you gave to the above questions. It can be either Digital or Paper.

Note: Those who take the time to do a doube will receive a product gift from us here at Top 50!

* Answers to all the questions must be journalled somewhere on your layout.

* Remember the question...My Favourite Store Right Now....you must highlight a product or two that you last purchased from that store/s.

* Lastly, somewhere in your title must be the word 'May'

Here is my Entry:

The month of May was *{MAYHEM}*, with my mum in hospital for over six weeks with meneghitis (not sure of the spelling),she also suffered two heart attacks! The commutting back and forth, working and still mainting some normality at home was completly exhausting. I am so glad that mum got better and is home now Smile

I have done this layout in monochromatic colors (Blues).
* double Layout
*Answers to all questions have been journalled
*I have highlighted by mentioning a product I brought from both of my favourite stores, "Flutterbuys and My2angels"
* Title has the word May

And a close up of each page:

Drama Queen Jewellery Box

This is my take on one of the cyber crop challenges at Scrapbooking Top50, the theme for June was Tiaras and Crowns.

From scrappygurl (Vic):
For this challenge Tracy (My2angels) and I want you to take your fabulous scrapping skills and put them to use to create something cool for your Drama King or Queen!!!

Show them how much you appreciate them being such a vibrant and entertaining part of your life.

This must be an OTP Project but exactly what is entirely up to your creative energy. This is Tracy's Project, isn't it goregous!

Here is my entry:

This challenge gave me a chance to finish painting a Folk Art piece that I had half finished sometime ago.

It is painted in Jo Sonya paint to look as if the box is overflowing in that much Jewellery that it is all hanging over the sides. The lace hanky on the front is painted in a wash of Titanium white and the folds added, to make it look delicate and soft.

The chains, bracelets and heart pendant are painted in Rich gold, Pale gold and black. The highlights are painted with Titanium White to give a bling look.

I added mauve flowers and mulberry leaves (I had run out of Flourish bling... damm it!), large flower rhinestones and "Claudia Elyse" buttons to the lid.

It looks a bit "over the top' but that's how I imagine a Drama Queens Jewellery Box would look like.

Don't worry be happy

This is my take on the June Cyber Crop challenge at Ready, Set Scrap inspired by Lexie.

Lexie's 80's Challenge

As there were lots of one hit wonders in the 80’s,
Lexie has chosen one as inspiration for her Challenge.

Other than using the song for your inspiration you can do anything you like for this Challenge
Have FUN creating!

Don’t Worry, Be Happy”
By Bobby McFerrin

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy......

Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don't worry, be happy
The land lord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don't worry, be happy
Lood at me I am happy
Don't worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
When you worry call me
I make you happy
Don't worry, be happy
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got not girl to make you smile
But don't worry be happy
Cause when you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
So don't worry, be happy (now).....

There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
Like good little children
Don't worry, be happy
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
But when you worry
You make it double
Don't worry, be happy......
Don't worry don't do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon past
Whatever it is
Don't worry, be happy

Here is Lexie's Example:

Here is my entry:

Jarred looking very forlorn at kinder (I think he was sick that day).
Have used up bits and pieces and offcuts for this layout. My printer ran out of ink so the pic looks a bit streaky but still decided to use this pic anyway. I quite like how it turned out.
Added 4 lines from the song "Don't worry be Happy)

The CARS

This is my entry for the June Cyber Crop Challenge at Ready, Set Scrap inspired by Kath.

Kath's 80's Challenge

For Kath's challenge you need to scrap the music you listened to in the 80's. You can do a layout, OTP or card.
It can be just in your journaling if you do not have photos.

I would also like you to use:
3 or more Patterned Papers
2 different fonts in your title
Stitching

***********************************************************

My favourite band from the 80's was "The Cars"
I have taken my inspiration from "The Cars Greatest Hits" and also "Candy-O"

I have covered all criteria:
3pp, 2 diff fonts and stitching

Car images traced on to diff colored cardstock, outlined and cut out. I also outlined the cars logo.

My Candy-O girl is the "Laminax Lady" lol

I hope you like, hope you remember this band (cause I'm a lot older than you chickadees)

Kath this was a great idea and I really enjoyed the challenge.

Shazza Unplugged

This is my entry for the June Cyber crop challenge # 3 at Scrapbooking Top50.

Here is the criteria from Vic (scappygurl):

Now this is all about Grunge colours. You must have a combo of 3 colours, of your choice, as you can see from the pic below there are a lot to choose from. This layout must be a paper layout, sorry digi girls Smile time to dust off those paper supplies.

In this challenge you can earn an extra 5 points if you use the same photo in the layout as you have in your avatar pic. This one is all about colours, so lets see those vibrant, if a little outlandish creations.

Here is my layout:

I remember the original post/thread said Brights with a tinge of Grunge colors. I have gone with brown/black and beige tones but added the lettering "unplugged in distressed blue.

... and most importantly used my Avatar photo!

To give the grunge look:
1) tore around BG Obscure "isolate" pp
2) handmade frame from cardboard
3) ink around edges of framewith pumpkin pie and chocolatechip ink
4)Used staples on title
5)used cork for "shazza" title
6)Used Grunge flowers from Prima
7)Unplugged lettering is distressed
8)grey flowers cut from franchville heritage sheet
9)added a skull, old key and lock as embellishments
10)left chipboard crown natural
